- You and me are looking at the problem from two different directions. There are bound to be differences bro!
- I am not sure if I can agree with you Mr. Rajat. Ashu's pov was that fun was made on podium where awards were given out. He can make all the fun what he wants in his show. Nobody cares. I watch...
- You really wanted to say this? Yayy! I got a supporter!! :P
- If what you say is true, then this is the death of dignity. Sadly.
- Wow!! Great post, Rajat. You said what I wanted to

Chance remarks can be powerful.
Anyways, if you have read my slapstory, you probably know about Dr. Ass, my physics lecturer who has a habit of saying and doing weird things. However, one chance remark of his blasted me off in the thinking tunnel.

It makes me remember the story of Troy: It's all mistakes there. First, Paris made the mistake of smuggling Helen; then Hector makes the mistake of not returning her honorably. Then again Paris makes the mistake of fighting a duel and then running off as a coward, sparking a whole war.
It's just this, mistakes by ignorant people that cause all this trouble. And humans are very prone to mistakes.

1. Co-relation between Independence and Terrorism is not clear here - what about UK? That country has been never dependent on any country...then why is it in the shadow of terrorism?
2. I would rather look it from this side - We are independent and really doing good - some people do not want that...every big thing entails big hurdles...these are hurdles...and you know what? I still trust my government...I am sure there would have been many instances when they would have diffused many bombs and saved many lives but they can not talk about it else it will create mayhem...
And I am sure they are trying...its just they are not able to control things...our disillusionment with them will only make them weak...
Disclaimer - these are my own thoughts and none of my relatives or any acquaintances work in police department. :)

We are independent, and allowed to take our own decisions. BUT, if we had taken some *better* decisions, this situation may not be as worse. We talk about improving our internal security *after* a slew of terror attacks. Shouldn't it have been done earlier, taking cues from Iraq and 9/11? That's where, I think, our independence falters.

It has absolutely nothing to do with independence. It is because we are most vulnerable and emotional.
We debate, weep and feel sorry for the ones we lost and then get back to our daily lives as if nothing happened. We have made terror a part of our lives and refuse to acknowledge the fact that human civilization is on the brink of destroying itself and it is only we, as citizens of the world, stand together can we face this threat with courage and strength. They want to see us fall. Let us rise and behead them
